My Migrant Mama is shaping the future of migration narratives. Our mission is to offer authentic storytelling products – made by migrants – to celebrate, to share, and to connect.

In 2019, Melisa Manrique and Manik Chander founded the platform with the aim of empowering migrant women in Europe through storytelling. Today, My Migrant Mama offers products that are exclusively created and implemented by migrant women.

For their commitment, the platform has received several awards, including the German Integration Award and the Smart Hero Award – for a society where migrant perspectives are visible and a natural part of everyday life. The founders themselves were honored by the German Federal Government as Cultural and Creative Pilots.

Thanks to the collaboration with Scaling Spaces, we were able to continue hosting our popular My Migrant Dinners: a series of networking dinners exclusively for Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender migrant professionals. Our goal is to create a safe space where we can celebrate our stories – with eye-level conversations and a focus on professional exchange. Each dinner is themed and curated by migrant women, and is a celebration of diversity, connection, and a new kind of supportive networking.

Scaling Spaces doesn’t just open doors – it connects people, builds networks, and helps unlock potential. A true partnership built on learning, sharing, and growing together.
