Music and Culture at Scaling Spaces: A Look Back at the Gezellig Sessions

This summer, the Gezellig Sessions team hosted two special concerts at the Cuvry Campus of Scaling Spaces, with a view overlooking the Spree. These events created unforgettable evenings filled with music and culture. Gezellig Sessions is more than just a series of traditional concerts; it offers artists and audiences an authentic, intimate atmosphere where music and connection are the main focus.

During the first concert, Odelly and Ben Haydie performed their music in a unique setting. As the sun set over the Spree River and the weather remained warm, the audience enjoyed the music in a relaxed atmosphere on the riverside steps, creating a truly memorable experience.

The second concert encountered some weather challenges, as rain and cooler temperatures necessitated a change of plans. However, the Gezellig Sessions and Scaling Spaces teams adapted quickly: they transformed the covered outdoor area into a cozy concert corner. This spontaneous solution turned the evening into a living room concert under the open sky. Guests gathered closer together, the sound of raindrops adding to the intimate mood, while soft lighting on the walls created a warm ambiance. The performances by Joris Rose, Joel Miles, and Nilipek perfectly complemented the intimate atmosphere, making the evening a memorable event for everyone in attendance.
